MAKE-A-WISH
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity’s National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children’s lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.
We support Make-A-Wish through our own fund-raising events or the Tau Mu (Washington University) active chapter’s events.
HOLIDAY KINDNESS
Our Holiday Kindness, which is funded by the annual cookie exchange auction in December, is awarded to a charity nominated and voted on by chapter members. In addition to these projects, other St. Louis charities receive proceeds from other activities. In the past, these activities have included fashion show/luncheon, boutique/craft sale, cookie exchange, and gift wrapping services. This year we will be giving all the donations the St. Louis Alumnae Panhellenic Association to help support their scholarship endowment.
SCHOLARSHIPS
For over 80 years the St. Louis Alumnae Panhellenic Association has been a part of the St. Louis community. It has grown to more than 100 women representing 20 national sororities who are dedicated to the Panhellenic Creed of the National Panhellenic Conference.
30 years ago, delegates of the organization started a fund to offer scholarships to women who attend a Missouri college and graduated from a St. Louis area high school. These scholarships are leadership based – not need-based – and the goal is to offer annually a minimum of (5) $1,000 undergraduate scholarships and (1) $1,000 graduate scholarships.
This year, the Panhellenic Association is kicking off their campaign for scholarship endowment with a goal of $30,000. As an alumnae chapter, it is important to show our support for the Panhellenic Association and help support the education endeavors of our St. Louis women. We encourage each and every one of you to donate to the Campaign for Scholarship Endowment!
